One of the perks our associates enjoy with Nation United is the chance to attend industry conferences. These functions include both learning and networking opportunities. Therefore, we appreciate tips to make these experiences even more productive. Here are some of our favorites:
• Bring a Portable Charger: When people in our Nation United office prep to attend a conference, one of the first things we note on our packing list is to bring chargers for our devices. A portable charger allows us to power up wherever we are, whether it’s during a presentation or waiting in an airport terminal. Another tip is to bring a power strip bar. This allows us to make instant friends in a conference room where people need to plug in.
• Bring Note Taking Materials: We need materials to take good notes during presentations and speeches and gather contact information. One of our Nation United best practices is to have a conference pack that includes not only tech devices such as phones and tablets, but also some notebooks (one large and one small), plus pens to jot things down quickly.
• Bring a Refillable Water Bottle and Energy Bars: Airports tend to charge a ton for water, as do some convention halls. Plus, it’s easier to think when we’re hydrated and satiated. Therefore, it’s a good idea to have access to water and snacks at all times.
Conferences are great learning and networking experiences.
